Thames Care provides a wide range of services that we tailor to our clients’ needs, providing you or your loved one with the support required to live safely and independently at home.

We provide help and support from a single half hour visit, through to live-in care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The service we offer is entirely flexible and can be adjusted as you or your loved one’s needs change.

Our staff are provided with high quality training and support

Thames Care have in house training facilities giving us the capability to provide induction training to all new staff members, up to and beyond the statutory requirements. Following induction training all members of staff are required to shadow an experienced Care Assistant during care visits to ensure they can put their training into practice effectively and provide advice and support as necessary.

We can provide accreditation through the Care Certificate and/or through QCF level 2 and 3 qualifications. We continually support and conduct field competancy checks on our care staff thorughout their career with us and provide refresher training where our senior staff think it would be beneficial, in addition to statuatory requirements.

What happens when you contact us?

During an initial phone call we will find out the type of assistance you or your loved one requires, and then go on to explain the support we can offer.

If our services are of interest, we will arrange an appointment to visit you in the comfort of your own home to discuss your requirements which will allow our team to create a care plan tailored to your individual needs.

There is no obligation to engage our services following a home visit, it is intended to allow us to get to know each other a little better and to give you sufficient information to allow you to make a decision as to whether you wish to engage our services.

Our Staff

We vet our care assistants very carefully prior to employing them. Each new member of staff undergoes the following:

  • Written application
  • Face to face interview
  • Full employment history is recorded
  • At least two references are taken
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check
